It's no secret I've had an ongoing combative relationship with the medical community at large. While my father was in ICU I remember telling one of his critical care pulmonologists in a seething, I-am-about-to-lose-my-sh**-type voice that "sometimes the medical community gets it wrong. I didn't see this doctor again…Until a few weeks ago, when I was sitting in his office, as a new patient. Turns out, I’m the one who got it wrong.

This year was Ah-mazing….and intense. I realized I’ve been living (un)comfortably inside my discomfort zone for a solid decadeYou’d think, by now, I’d be comfortable in my discomfort zone. I’m not. It has made me a better surfer though…at least on land.

Ask George Bailey.
I watch this movie every year and, every year, there are two things I always do - cry & wonder what MY guardian angel would be like.
This year I think my guardian angel gave up and went on strike, or off the deep end, like Bobcat Goldthwait in the movie "Scrooged". Either way - MIA.
Yep, life was messy this year.
My dad recently passed away and my brother and I have heard this question a lot lately. Don’t get me wrong – I’m not offended by the question. It’s just that I felt like Wile E. Coyote when the Roadrunner would drop a 500lb weight on him from atop a cliff every time I heard it. Cue the cartoon sound effects: Beep..Beep…BOOM!
I've spent the last three weeks fixing "pretty good taste." So, I'm adopting the mindset of Macy's department store in "Miracle on 34th Street" (or in my case, Miracle on Meridian Street) and am listing a few reputable home staging services companies in Indianapolis.
OMG. Yes, I'm listing my competitors. Macy's put the spirit of Christmas ahead of the commercial by referring shoppers to Gimbels department store. The objective was to get the shopper what they needed so they were happy. I can tell you the homeowners I worked with over the past few weeks were anything BUT happy.
